Report I'm not quite sure now, but I think it was Włodek's idea: "Let's do something with people from Debrecen". Something? Obviously - Functional Equations. Besides the fact that we didn't have any money, there was no objections, so Agnieszka was the only person who could realize this idea. And, with a little help (...of her friends :) ), she did it. Conference (frankly, this word is maybe not quite proper) was a success - we spent five days exploring mathematics and having a great time (also in other ways). It's noteworthy that everything occured in a beautiful winter scenery. A dozen papers, presence of world-famous experts (isn't it incredible?), great conditions for skiing and sledging (I think we took advantage of them), in the evenings playing guitar and singing, (almost) home-made food, and (probably the most important thing) intensing Polish-Hungarian friendship - it speaks for itself. It'a pity that it's all over now. I mentioned experts: let's have a big thank-you to professor Roman Ger and professor Karol Baron who payed us a visit and gave very interesting lectures. It's obvious that it is imposible to describe everything - you should have come and seen. We invite everyone for the next time. last update: 16.01.2011 |
