Report Jolanta Kazak is an extraordinary character: a doctor in mathematics and theology, former member of SMS, and most importantly a Missionary in Togo (a little African country). To understand the purpose of her mission properly, Jola began with a short overview of the country she worked in. She told us about its economy, educational system, problems in acquiring food and water, communication problems and relations with neighboring countries. To emphasize some of the problems, Jola compared statistic data from Togo with those from other African countries. Then we got to know what did her job consist of. What did she have to teach, what problems her students, other teachers and herself had. Her talk was accompanied by a great slideshow and a surprise: at the end of the meeting one of her African pupils spoke to us.last update: 23.01.2011 |
