Report On 6th March 2009 at 10.00 a popular science meeting "The meeting with queen of science" was held, directed by Piotr Idzik, a student of the Silesian University and a member of our Society. Classes were attended by high schools' students interested in mathematics. The speaker Piotr Idzik gave a lecture "Metric spaces - mathematician's means to count the distance" and encouraged the listeners to visit "The Pi Day" celebration organised by the Silesian University in Katowice. source: zstio3.pl last update: 19.03.2013
